How to access your email from various points and how to create a new email address.

This guide shows you how to access your email account and how to set up a new email address.

These are easy tasks which you’ll quickly master. Simply follow the guide closely and you’ll have a secure email address set up in a few minutes, ready to be accessed from anywhere there’s an internet connection.

How to access your emails

You can access your emails directly through a web browser. This is known as Webmail.

Access through a direct link

If your email’s already created you can access as follows:

  1. Visit https://yourdomain.com:2096 (substituting yourdomain.com for your domain name).
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Enter your password.
    1. You should have received it from your admin or added it yourself if you’ve created your own email address.
  4. Click Log in.

Access through your Bay Marketing Co admin panel

Visit https://client.baymarketingco.co.za/clientarea.php and log in.

Click on Services.

  • This is accessible through the top menu or under the welcome heading on the front page.
    • If you click on Services in the top menu, you’ll need to click on My Services in the dropdown menu.

Click on the Active button on the far right, in line with the website you’re setting the email up for.

Scroll down and click on Email Accounts under Quick Shortcuts.

Click on CHECK EMAIL on the right hand side, in line with your email address.

This opens a new tab where you can choose which Webmail client you prefer.

  • It’s entirely up to you which one you choose, but I’m partial to roundcube.

Click on your preferred mail client.

  • You can also set one as your default client, which means your emails will always open in that program.

How to create an email address

You can create an email address from within your Bay Marketing Co control panel or from cPanel.

Through Bay Marketing Co control panel

Visit https://client.baymarketingco.co.za/clientarea.php and log in.

Click on Services.

  • This is accessible through the top menu or under the welcome heading on the front page.
    • If you click on Services in the top menu, you’ll need to click on My Services in the dropdown menu.

Scroll down to the heading, Quick Create Email Account.

Enter the name or word you wish to use for your email address.

Enter your desired password.

  • Please note that you require a strong password. This is to help secure your account.

Click +Create.

You can now access your email address through one of the channels described above.

Through cPanel

Access your cPanel.

Once inside cPanel, scroll to the EMAIL section.

Click on Email Accounts.

On the right hand side of the screen, click on +CREATE.

Add the desired name or word under Username.

Add a password.

  • Because the system is set up to accept only complex passwords, it’s best to auto-generate one by clicking the GENERATE button.
  • You can also provide an alternate (existing) email to which your details will be sent.
  • If you choose to use an alternate email address for setting up a new email address, you’ll receive an email with a link which you must click to set up a password.

Choose your storage space.

  • You can set this to unlimited, which means it’ll be limited by your web hosting package size. Alternatively, choose what you think you require for your email needs.

Click +CREATE.

Click the +CREATE button.

You can now access your emails through one of the methods explained at the beginning of this article.
