Working on other people’s cars comes with its challenges.
You know customers can be unreasonable when it comes to fixing their vehicles.
But you also know it’s those customers that put bread on the table, so you need more of them visiting your auto shop.
But how can you get more vehicles through your door?
Are you missing out on clients?
If you’re constantly posting to Facebook and getting likes and shares you might be happy that you’re getting all the attention. And that, at no cost.
But there’s no such thing such as no cost. You always pay.
In the case of free social media, you pay by not getting a good return on investment for your time spent sharing content to it.
And because social media platforms constantly tweak their ad algorithms, there’s no guarantee you’ll get good placement even if you pay.
That means you could be losing out on more clients.
Maybe you have a website, but like a busted up old Ford Fairlane on a scrap heap it sits there, worthless; only good for taking strange photos of.
Perhaps it’s time you take a look at one of my marketing websites, geared towards helping your automotive business grow.
What can an auto-shop do with a website?
If you work on cars you obviously have a physical location where people can bring their vehicles.
It’s a good idea to add a map of your location, then.
You also want people to phone and email you, so you’d make your contact details as visible as possible on the site. (I’d recommend adding it right at the top and sprinkling across the website in strategic places, but it’s your choice.)
But that’s just the tip of the carburettor.
With a proper marketing website you can really set yourself apart as an expert in the automotive field.
Say you’re a top supplier of batteries in your region and you’re running a special on a specific model of battery.
You could post the special to Facebook and boost it to get some attention. It’ll work.
But you could also create an advertisement on your website to promote the battery.
Now you have a piece of content on your website you can promote to various channels like Facebook.
But you can go a step further.
You could create a series of articles about car battery maintenance.
That way you make yourself look like the expert you are. And when you look like an expert, people will want to deal with you. They’ll bring you their cars and bakkies because they’ll know you’ll do a good job.
Don’t even want to think about creating content yourself? I can help. Read on to see how.
So now you’re adding content to your auto website like it’s going out of fashion.
And you’re slowly but surely building up a great online profile.
People are starting to take notice and you’re getting more traffic to your website.
But sometimes you forget to share your latest website content to social media.
And who has time to create an email newsletter every time you have a special or automotive tip to share?
That’s why the automatic sharing option is a great idea. Read more about it below.
Email is a GREAT way to stay in touch with current clients. It’s also a great way to get more clients on board with your automotive services.
But you don’t want to create emails. That takes too long.
If you opt for the email marketing package I create you an automatic newsletter system.
It lets you add up to 500 subscribers for a start.
This is how it works.
I add a signup box to your website where website visitors can add their names and email addresses. This automatically adds them to your newsletter.
Whenever you add new content to your website it sends out a professional email with the image you added to the content you’ve added to the site, as well as a link back to your website.
When someone opens the email and clicks the link they’re taken to your website, where you can have them take the action you desire.
Search engine marketing
Google will bring your automotive company some of the best traffic this side of Mars.
These are searches people perform on this search giant to find services like yours:
- diy car service
- car service near me
- car service prices
- car service price list
- car service branches
- car service centre near me
- where to service my bakkie
- where to service my car near me
- respray car near me
- car respray prices
- respray car same color
- cost of respraying a car in south africa
- how much does it cost to respray a car the same color in south africa
- price to respray whole car south africa
- price to spray a car
- full car respray near me
- automotive rust removal products
- neutralizing rust on cars
- how to remove surface rust from car
- rust remover
- how to remove small rust spots from car
- how to remove rust from car frame
- best rust remover spray for cars
- rust converter
These are just some of the searches in the automotive realm.
If any of those fits your business you could be featuring for them. Are you?
Perhaps you’re wondering how a search like “diy car service” might be used to help you get more business.
It’s an opportunity to convince someone that they shouldn’t do a DIY service, but rather bring their car in for a service at your garage. If you write enough content on the subject you’ll convince some people that it’s better to bring in their car than to try it themselves and mess it up.
If creating content isn’t your thing, get me to do it for you.
I can help put together a professional content marketing scheme and write articles that’ll get your website ranking higher in Google.

Social media marketing
Many people post to social media for two reasons: it’s easy to do and it seems like it’s a great place to market because everybody is using it.
But just because something is popular doesn’t mean it’ll work well for your automotive workshop.
Free social media marketing shows a low return on investment. That’s because social media platforms sell ad space.
That means that you can share your work to a Facebook business page, but you can’t expect many people to see it if you don’t boost the post.
And if you think likes and shares are valuable you might as well cut out a vehicle from a car ad in a magazine and tell people you’ve just bought a new car.
With my social media package you don’t have to worry about social media. Your main aim is to add more content to your website.
That content is shared to your Facebook business page automatically. It contains the image you added to the shared content, as well as a link back to your website. That means it forces people to visit your website, where you’ve got their full attention and can get them to take an action you designed for them, like click a contact button.
That way you’re not ignoring social media, you’re just putting it in its right place by not focusing on it alone.
An automotive shop with a Gmail or Yahoo email address probably doesn’t look too unprofessional.
People don’t expect mechanics, auto-electricians and auto body experts to have a professional email address, as long as they can do the job.
But if you want a professional email address you may set up as many as you wish with my package. The only limit is your hosting package size, but even that doesn’t matter if you set up your email using POP.
Your automotive website comes with Google Analytics installed.
You’re welcome to access those analytics whenever you wish.
Or you could opt for the convenient weekly report which shares important info like where people visited from, which pages they visited and which keywords brought them to your website.
Your website also contains a search box that records what people search for when they use it.
It’s great for helping you stay market oriented.
Say for instance you add specials to your website aimed at motorcar owners, but you notice an increase in searches for bakkie accessories, aftermarket products or services.
This shows that you can add specials or other information aimed at bakkie owners.
Your automotive website will look great on any size screen.
Say you add content about a special you’re running for a new automotive product or service you’re offering.
It’s shared to Facebook where someone who’s interested in your offer clicks on the shared item and is taken to your website.
If your website isn’t mobile friendly they’re greeted with text that’s far too small and images they have to pinch and zoom to see.
That’s why it’s important to ensure your website works on any screen size.
Your auto marketing package won’t set you back the price of this personal tool, which is probably waaaaayyyy to expensive for you to even consider.
But I’m not cheap either.
You get what you pay for.
If you opt for a static website which won’t do much else but serve as a business card, you’ll pay a little bit of money.
When you get a good website and use my expert content creation service, it’s going to cosr you.
You’ll see a great return though.
Your package contains everything to get you going on the road to getting more cars and bakkies through your doors.
If you advertise in the local paper or booklet you’ll certainly get people contacting you to book their vehicle.
You’ll also get clients from Facebook, whether you run a personal Facebook account or a professional business page for your automotive services.
If you own a static website you’ll have the odd person coming across it and contacting you for more details.
But if you get a website from me you’ll be able to reach clients and prospects through three channels from a single place where you’re the boss and you get to choose what you sell to them.
