When you and your crew enter a place, dust and dirt start saying their prayers.

When you leave that place, not a single dust spec is left and everything shines so brightly the owner of the place must wear sunglasses inside for the next three weeks.

You’re the best cleaner in town and people should know it.

But how can you draw more attention to your cleaning services and get more clients on the books?

Are you missing out on clients?

Perhaps you have a Facebook page you post to.

Maybe your posts consists of before and after pictures; perhaps it contains some cleaning tips; maybe even some funny cleaning memes every now and then.

Maybe you even advertise in the local newspaper or magazine.

Maybe you have a little website for your company, but like an old broom it doesn’t work too well any more. It sits in a corner and nobody uses it.

Perhaps it’s time you got a website that’s not only useful as a business card but can be used to market your business.

What can a cleaning business do with a website?

If you have an office you’d like people to visit I’ll add a map with your location to your website. I’ll also add your contact details so clients or prospects can easily get hold of you.

But if you really want to set yourself up as an expert in the cleaning business, add good, relevant, useful content to your website.

A website is a great place to share cleaning tips and before and after pictures of places you’ve cleaned for clients.

And it’s not difficult to post to your website. If you can share to Facebook you can share to your website.

And when you share relevant, interesting cleaning information to your website, you give your website an opportunity to do well in search engines.

Also, people trust experts. If you can show them you know what you’re talking about they’ll want to learn more about your cleaning service.

But if adding content seems like something you simply won’t be able to do for whatever reason, hire me to do it for you.

You send me the pics of your latest cleaning endeavors and I’ll post it to your website. That way you ensure your website is built up with quality content that’ll help your business stand out for years to come.

Automatic sharing

A great way to cut down on your marketing work is to automate.

If you can automate sharing your website content to Facebook and with email subscribers you save a chunk of time. Read on to see how it works.

Email marketing

A list of clients wanting to be emailed by you is worth gold.

That’s why I offer a newsletter system that plugs into your website.

It’s not just any old newsletter. It’s an automatic newsletter. It saves you having to create newsletters manually.

It sends out your latest website content in a neat email with links back to your website.

So all you need to do is keep adding content to your website.

Whenever you add content, like your latest comprehensive cleaning win, or maybe a cleaning tip for office personnel, it’s sent out without you having to lift a finger.

To help grow your email list I add a newsletter signup box on your website. Website visitors can then add their names and email addresses, which automatically adds them to the newsletter.

You can start off with a newsletter to which you may add up to 500 subscribers for free.

Search engine marketing

Google will send you plenty of cleaning clients if you know how to impress it.

These are some of the searches people perform on Google when they’re looking for cleaning services:

  • cleaning services near me
  • skoonmaakdienste
  • cleaning companies near me
  • cleaning companies
  • list of cleaning companies
  • office cleaning companies
  • cleaning companies jobs
  • black owned cleaning companies
  • cleaning companies
  • cleaning companies vacancies
  • cleaning companies in south africa
  • industrial cleaning services
  • industrial cleaning machine
  • industrial cleaning company profile
  • industrial cleaning services south africa
  • industrial cleaning equipment
  • commercial cleaning
  • industrial cleaning
  • residential cleaning services
  • domestic cleaning services
  • house cleaning services
  • deep cleaning services
  • home spring cleaning services

Do you feature for any of those? You could be.

You’ll notice terms like “industrial cleaning equipment” and “industrial cleaning machine” and you might be thinking that those searches aren’t what you offer, so they mean nothing to your business.

But you’re missing out on traffic if you don’t target those searches.

You could be adding content that explains that it’s more economical to use your cleaning services than it is to buy a cleaning machine. If you can convince people that the math for buying a cleaner doesn’t make sense you’ll look like an expert and win new clients.

And remember, if you’re not comfortable adding content to your website yourself, you can always hire me to do it.

Social media marketing

Facebook is an advertising platform and the only way they’ll survive is by selling advertising space.

If you don’t pay for your ad space you’re not getting premium placement on Facebook.

But in a bid to make people think they receive value, they’ve included likes and shares on their platform.

This is called vanity metrics. That’s because they look good, but don’t mean much.

You will get clients on Facebook, but you won’t get nearly as many as you think you deserve.

If you opt for the social media marketing addon, the latest content you share to your website is automatically shared to your Facebook business page.

The shared post contains an image (if you added one to your content; you should!) and a link back to your website.

When someone clicks on the link they’re taken to your website. This works great, because once there you can have them take an action of your choosing. You could get them to contact you for a quote for your cleaning services, for instance.

Emails

A cleaning company using a Yahoo or Gmail email address doesn’t look professional.

Make your brand shine with personalised email addresses.

Set up as many as you wish, your hosting package size being the only limit.

And if you set up your cleaning service’s emails using POP you needn’t even worry about using up your hosting space.

Analytics

Your cleaning website comes with Google Analytics installed. This is the de facto analytics package and it tells you a lot about what’s going on on your website.

But you also get a weekly report that shares where website visitors are from, which pages they visited and which search engine search phrases brought them to your website.

Your website also contains a search box that records what people are searching for when they use it.

All of these data points make it easy for you to see what the market actually wants.

Why’s that important?

First off, it’s good to know whether your website receives traffic in the first place.

But if you can see what that traffic is looking for, it’s worth even more.

Here’s an example…

If you’ve been pushing a domestic cleaning service but you notice the market’s looking for office cleaners in your region, you can adjust your website content to include office and industrial cleaning.

Before long you’ll be featuring more for office and industrial cleaning and getting more people contacting you.

Mobile friendly

Your cleaning website will shine like a newly cleaned table top on any size screen.

That’s because you don’t want people to visit your website only to have to pinch and zoom to see important information like contact details and which areas you service or which cleaning services you offer.

You want as few obstructions between you and your next customer as possible. So if someone visits your cleaning website from a phone they’ll have a sparkling experience.

Cost

You might pay a bit for a website for your cleaning company. Maybe even as much as this cleaning tool, or even more.

But you’re getting a value-packed marketing system that helps you look like a pro in your field.

You get a great website with the opportunity to market to multiple channels. And with my expertise you can reach more people and get more of them contacting you for your service.

Conclusion

You’ll most certainly find people on Facebook looking for your cleaning service.

You’ll also be able to draw in people if you have a static little website you don’t really use anymore.

But if you get my website and marketing package you’ll have an opportunity to reach prospects and clients through three channels from a single point where you’re the boss.

Don’t miss out on more traffic, better ranking and more clients for your cleaning business.
