Do you feature for any of those? You could be.
You’ll notice terms like “industrial cleaning equipment” and “industrial cleaning machine” and you might be thinking that those searches aren’t what you offer, so they mean nothing to your business.
But you’re missing out on traffic if you don’t target those searches.
You could be adding content that explains that it’s more economical to use your cleaning services than it is to buy a cleaning machine. If you can convince people that the math for buying a cleaner doesn’t make sense you’ll look like an expert and win new clients.

Social media marketing
Facebook is an advertising platform and the only way they’ll survive is by selling advertising space.
If you don’t pay for your ad space you’re not getting premium placement on Facebook.
But in a bid to make people think they receive value, they’ve included likes and shares on their platform.
This is called vanity metrics. That’s because they look good, but don’t mean much.
You will get clients on Facebook, but you won’t get nearly as many as you think you deserve.

Your cleaning website comes with Google Analytics installed. This is the de facto analytics package and it tells you a lot about what’s going on on your website.
But you also get a weekly report that shares where website visitors are from, which pages they visited and which search engine search phrases brought them to your website.
Your website also contains a search box that records what people are searching for when they use it.
All of these data points make it easy for you to see what the market actually wants.
Why’s that important?
First off, it’s good to know whether your website receives traffic in the first place.
But if you can see what that traffic is looking for, it’s worth even more.

If you’ve been pushing a domestic cleaning service but you notice the market’s looking for office cleaners in your region, you can adjust your website content to include office and industrial cleaning.
Before long you’ll be featuring more for office and industrial cleaning and getting more people contacting you.
