There are two ways to do this…
The first is a dirt cheap option. It involves creating a “quote basket” to which website visitors add the apparel they’re interested in.
At checkout, instead of using a payment gateway (which incurs funds) the system sends an email to you with the client’s query.
The second option is a traditional ecommerce shop with a normal checkout system that lets the website visitor pay for their goods with a card.
Since you sell clothing and sizing could be an issue, it might be better to use a quote system.
Then people can place their order and double check the size of the piece of clothing they’re ordering.
If you choose the automated marketing option you don’t have to worry about reaching social media and email subscribers.
All you do is to keep adding great blog articles to your website.
Remember, a great blog article could be a corporate announcement (a new job opening at your company), a new piece of apparel you’ve added to your range or anything you wish, really.
The automated marketing system ensures that your content is shared to your Facebook page automatically, as well as with email subscribers.
Email is still the number one way to connect with clients.
Because getting someone’s email address is like getting an invitation to dinner.
Getting a like or a share on Facebook doesn’t mean much. It takes the click of a button or tap of a thumb.
But a person who gives you their email address is interested in what you have to say. And they want to keep hearing from you.

Social media marketing
Free social media marketing is worthless.
If you’re not spending money on Facebook your return on investment won’t be worth much more than a wheelless bakkie.
That’s because Facebook sells advertising space and if you’re not paying you won’t get top spot.
Worse yet, Facebook might make you believe you get top spot.
But in the long run your efforts can be turned on their head overnight because Facebook has once again changed their algorithm.
If you don’t have money for advertising on Facebook, the next best thing is to post updates to your Facebook page.
This probably won’t get you much attention but it’s better than nothing. But you shouldn’t be spending time on doing it. The return on free social media marketing is far too low for you to be wasting precious time posting to it.
